Black, Queer Therapy

You get to define it.

Finding a Black queer therapist is tough. There are truly not enough of us. So I’m glad you’ve landed here and are choosing to read through this paragraph to learn more about how I could show up for you. That means a lot to me.

You get to define what therapy means and looks like and I’m game to collaborate with you on that. Therapy doesn’t have to be a stuffy, “well how does that make you feel?” hour long process. You don’t have to code switch. You’ve done enough navigating and surviving and struggling to have to put on the same mask in the therapy room. It’d be an honor to get to meet the real you.

Black queer folks often take the brunt of a homophobic and racist world. We face terrifying and shaming behaviors from oppressive people on the daily. All of this fighting disconnects us from the relationship we have with our authentic selves. Therapy with me would talk about how fucked up that is, what it does to your mind, body, and soul, and then work together to build the life you desire. We’ll talk about intergenerational dynamics, relationships with loved ones, community, masculinity — we’ll create a space where you don’t have to explain every aspect of your identity.

If you’re curious, connect with me for a free consultation. I’d be happy to answer your questions.
